Once a leader was appointed in a far away village – One of the oldest recognized tribe of the country. Since he was new and had no experience. He didn’t know what to do. Just to keep people busy and play it safe, he ordered his people to collect firewood since winter was approaching. People started collecting firewood.
Just to get assured, he went a telephone booth 1 day far from village. He called National Weather Service and asked, “Will this winter be cold?”
“As of now, it looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,” the forecaster said. So the leader went back to his village and told people to collect more wood.
A week later, Leader calls back the weather service again and gets a reply, “based on incoming data, this winter is looking to be colder than we expected.”
Leader gets back and tells his people that this winter is going to be more cold so collect more woods.
A week later leader again makes a call to Weather Service and the operator replies, “It’s going to be one of the coldest winters ever.”
“Really?” the leader replies.
Leader : How can you be so sure?
Operator : Because the people from old tribes are collecting firewood like crazy and they cannot be wrong.
